Testimonials

"I really enjoyed this one. I was quickly sucked into the story by Emma’s endearing character. I thought Emma was really likable, a bit shy at times, but a sweetheart. Thatcher was a doll, I  fell for him right off the bat, just like Emma. I thought they had good  chemistry and some really nice moments together (Mmmm, kissing in the rain!). It  really is a sweet story and full of that good old western charm. I even got a  kick out of snobbish Nancy Jane, she was quite mean-spirited, but added a fun element to the story.  I thought the   story was well written and moved along nicely. I also liked Eliza, Seth and James who were all fun characters and added a lot to the story. I’ll definitely be rereading this one! Overall, a very enjoyable read, at times it reminded me of Marcia McClure (which is a good thing), so if you enjoy her books you’ll enjoy this one
just as much!"  – Kathy Hart, Bookworm Nation

“It was hard to wipe the smile off my face during the scenes with Emma and Thatcher in A Secret Fire!  The characters were so believable that it made it all seem so real.  It was nice to finally read a romance book where I didn’t have to worry about what was coming up on the next page!  It is a good, clean book with so much romance involved it’ll keep you giggling like a little girl from beginning to end!  Definitely one of my new favorites.” – Marinda McBride

"A Secret Fire is one of those novels you just don't want to stop reading. When you finish, you have related with the characters so much you feel like you have been visiting with friends and want to find out what happens next in their lives. I loved it!" – Paula Fluckiger

"I loved this book.  It was a page turner.  It is a romance novel yet there was not anything inappropriate.  Loved it!!!! I would highly suggest it for a fun easy read." – Ann Flint

"Reading A Secret Fire was like being transported to a completely different place.  Not only is the setting so far away from that of today, but the characters and plot draw you in and make you forget real life exists around you. I rooted for these characters who I grew to love through every twist and turn the author threw at me and loved every minute.  If you want to read a book that is fun, funny, romantic, and just plain good, you can't go wrong with Deborah's literary debut!" – Jen McBride

"I love historical fiction books...but when you add a little romance, I REALLY love them! This book is an
easy read, you fall in love with the characters, and...best of all...it's CLEAN! I appreciate that greatly since there are so many "not-so-clean" romance novels out there. I highly recommend it...!" – Michelle Denson
